Fa La La La La La La La La

As soon as Thanksgiving dinner ended, we immediately switched gears to Christmas. 

My sister, my cousin and I left at 8:00 at night to get some Black Friday deals!  We left the chitlens with their dads and went on our way.  Toys R Us was brutal but we made it out in one piece. Target looked rough when we first walked in but ended up being very fast with an easy checkout.  Nathan gave up at the Target point and went to the truck to go to sleep......really?!  Kohls was so bad we walked in and walked right back out! Nothing there was worth a 4 hour wait! 

The day after Thanksgiving always calls for champagne, Eggs Benedict, waffles, and golfing for the guys. This year we added Christmas decorating to the list.  We had our little elf out from Illinois do we needed to use him to our best ability.  My parent's house was all done by the end of Friday! Wowzers! 



They have such a beautiful house that no matter what it will look amazing, but Nathan did a great job! 

Next stop the Kirk Klan house.......

How is it even possible?

My baby girl is going to be ONE in a month!!!!!! Ahhhhh. I haven't been in as much awe as I am with the turn of 11 months. The turn calls for crazy days with  a walking baby, lots of party planning, transitions, but always a ton of fun while keeping this mama on her toes!  Yes, like I said, Zoie has officially started walking.  Baby walking is seriously so funny to watch. It's like they waddle and have no concept of bending either their knees or ankles. When she gets super excited she starts to run and it's so cute!   We are starting to transition her to whole milk. I have a feeling it will be rough since we discovered early on that she was protein and soy sensitive, but here goes nothing....  This little girl first of ours is getting into EVERYTHING and learning so much. I just love watching her grow, love on her brother and daddy, and just be so full of fun and laughter!

4th Annual Kirk Klan Ugly Sweater Party

As you can tell by the word annual, this is our Kirk family tradition. We have an ugly sweater party every year for Christmas. We deck out our whole house, garage, ourselves, and have a great time with friends and family. I usually make everything home made with some help from my mom and all her and my grandma's recipes.  This year I wanted to make it as simple but still cute as possible. I decided on a chili bar as the main entree.  I also delegated everyone that would help to make my favorite chili they make. SCORE! Way less work for me! Muahahahaha!  My dad made his tri tip chili, my mom made her white chicken chili, and Brandon made his pulled pork chili.  Besides the fact that we always make way too much food, the chili was definitely a hit. Of course the chefs tested everyone on who they thought had the best chili. They are all delicious in my eyes, obviously!  I did pitch in a little and made some appetizers and corn bread! Oh and I did all the decorating...

(Like 2 months ago) I am way behind on blogging. Life, kids and work are taking full control of this mama!  At 10 months little miss Zoie was STILL almost walking. I've said it a million times now, but any second she will be up and going. She love love loves the water and bath time. She started to get the sign language signs down!  Hates the easter bunny.  She was having a hard time getting to sleep but when she did it lasted most of the time ;) Oh and let's not forget about my little number obsessed helper :) I still can't get over how fast time flies. We are going to start getting ready for Zoie's first birthday and it just seems so overwhelming.....ahhhh!
