September in a nutshell

We have been busy bees around this hive.

September marked Zoie's 3 months of life!

My return to work from maternity leave  :(.  Leaving my precious little mini was definitely hard but her being with big brudder and having her in a great home with one of my close friends taking care of her helped a lot. Also going back during the busiest month of the year kept me extremely occupied.

The start of football season!  Well this split house has been a battlefield all month. Brandon has been trying to brainwash Zeke into loving the Patriots, but I've been working Zeke on the Broncos all year!!!! It started out with who ever he was around that's whose team he loved.

The battle has come to the point that Brandon bought him a Patriots hat and Zeke was upset it wasn't a Broncos one......YES!!!!!!!! SUCCESS!!!!!

Brandon even dressed the kids all up in their Patriots gear for the first week while I was at the gym for an hour......I was not too happy about it and changed their outfits after the Patriots game was over.

A sisterly visit/brotherly work!
My sister and brother in law are adding on to their house so all the guys went up there to help them out while all us girls and kids met up at my parents house for a nice pool day.  The kids had so much fun together and we enjoyed our cocktails and each other's company!

Our annual camping weekend!

We always plan a camping weekend at the local campground. Over the past couple years the consistency of what weekend it falls on has been horrible. We used to do it in July, then it was for my birthday celebration, this year it was a fabulous weekend in September. We could not have asked for better weather nor a better time. It was great to have all the family and kids together, BBQ, wakeboard, drink, fish, sunbathe, and hang out!

Baby showers and fun

Zoie and I partook in my good friends baby shower that was super fun and uniquely themed as baseball with everyone getting to dress in their favorite baseball gear.  We can't wait to meet baby Kash!

I cannot believe tomorrow is October.......I need to get a move on getting the fall decorations out and my favorite month to craft.

GIRL!!!!!! Yayyyyy! We are having a little baby girl.  I had a feeling since I was sick for the first 4 months that it was either a really big pain in the ass boy or a girl. We went to one of our local gender reveal locations to see if they could tell us what we were having. They said coming in at 13 weeks and 6 days would be no problem.  Unfortunately, the umbilical chord was right in between the legs and the baby was facing my back. They scheduled me for another appointment the next day since we had a gender reveal party planned.  Same story as the night before, they couldn't tell. I scheduled myself another appointment the next day, but started doubting their abilities and getting nervous they wouldn't find out in time for our party.  I called another place and she got me in right away. After 3 trips to the bathroom, 3 glasses of ice cold water, and some jumping around, she found out what it was.   Because we planned on waiting to find out with our friends an...

Baby Kirk # 2....Makes 4!

Ya heard right!  We are pregnant and expecting Baby Kirk #2!!!!! This little babes is due June 6th , which makes me a little under 12 weeks.   We are all so excited! Zeke already knows where mommy's baby is and now thinks he has a baby in his belly too!  December can't come soon enough when we find out what we are having! I know people say the best surprise is to find out in the delivery room, but I think it's just as big of a surprise when you find out no matter when it is......and being a little more prepared is always good too!  Stay tuned for Baby Kirk #2 updates!  Happy Monday!

4th Annual Kirk Klan Ugly Sweater Party

As you can tell by the word annual, this is our Kirk family tradition. We have an ugly sweater party every year for Christmas. We deck out our whole house, garage, ourselves, and have a great time with friends and family. I usually make everything home made with some help from my mom and all her and my grandma's recipes.  This year I wanted to make it as simple but still cute as possible. I decided on a chili bar as the main entree.  I also delegated everyone that would help to make my favorite chili they make. SCORE! Way less work for me! Muahahahaha!  My dad made his tri tip chili, my mom made her white chicken chili, and Brandon made his pulled pork chili.  Besides the fact that we always make way too much food, the chili was definitely a hit. Of course the chefs tested everyone on who they thought had the best chili. They are all delicious in my eyes, obviously!  I did pitch in a little and made some appetizers and corn bread! Oh and I did all the decorating...
