Camp Zeke

We had a fabulous 3rd birthday celebration for Zeke. The theme was tough to decide on. Zeke's choices were camping, fishing, or baseball. And in typical 2 1/2-3 year old fashion he changed his mind everyday!

We stuck with camping and had a lot of fun doing it!

We welcomed guests with a great big bear....

We placed gifts in the tent that the kids got from Santa this year.

Desserts were equally amazingly delicious and beautiful.

The food was hot and ready.

Tents were popped.

Camplike creatures even came for a visit, where The Lizard Wizard taught the kids all about the animals, let them pet all them, and they even got to bathe the turtle, catch frogs, and walk around with snakes crawling on them. It was a huge hit!

I feel like 3 is the perfect age to start the fun piñata! The kids were swinging like maniacs and it was too adorable!

No camp party is complete without some s'mores toasting.

Zeke is still talking about how much fun his party was! I am so glad he had such
a great time with all his best friends!

Cruisin'

One of my best friends is getting married so in getting married style we had to have the bachelorette party. Her and her fiancé met on a cruise ship while both working, so going on a cruise was very fitting!  We took a short little 3 day (booze) cruise.  It was a lot of fun, my first time on ship/cruise, and I'm glad it's over.....wedding time!  Brandon had the kids all weekend and did an amazing daddy daycare job, even with activities and sports and all! He's super dad in my eyes!

Weekend project

I have had this vintage window frame for quite some time now.   I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it but have received lots of opinions and feedback on how to mount the picture. I had heard mount the picture on something sturdy before stapling it to the window, cut the picture into 6 boxes and have it touch the glass since there's a gap in the back, or my original and easy idea of just stapling the picture to the back of the window.  That is exactly what I did and it was the easiest thing ever. I cannot believe I waited so long to get it on and up!  I am completely obsessed with it and finally have a wedding picture up in our house. On to the next project......

Tour de Zeke's Room

We have been working on Zeke's room for what seems like forever. We painted and set up his big boy bed tons of blog posts ago.  His room is now presentable. I say presentable because we still have some things we would like to do, add, and buy!   We decided on a vintage vehicle theme. It went from vintage cars to vintage vehicles because, of course, the themes I choose are not so popular.  I found a vintage car print I liked on etsy but everyone said the fabric was too hard to make as sheets or the cut they had wasn't long enough for a full size bed. After all that I thought going with solid colors would be a great idea. I ordered a duvet cover, pillow shams, a bed skirt, and a blanket from Restoration Hardware. I got them home, put them on the bed with some navy blue sheets and thought "eh"!!! I kept it up for awhile but hated it!!! It was so boring, the down comforter wouldn't stay in place in the duvet cover, and it was so heavy and hard Zeke didn't want to ...
